Our Mission
"To be the premier video game center and party venue for birthday parties, guys night out, tournaments and private rentals. Our customized programming revolutionizes the way video games are played - whereby the added social dimension completely transforms the entertainment experience."
Our Philosophy
NYCLAN is guided by its Four Principles of Community: Live, Social, Safe, and Local. We are built from the ground up with local employees and region-specific design and programming. We believe that the best experiences are those shared by friends face-to-face in a fun and safe setting.
Live: We believe that there is no compromise for the perfect gaming experience. In a live game setting, there is no lag, cheating, hacking, sabotaging, and obnoxious remarks made by those with clear volume control issues and virtual aliases to hide behind. Attitudes are checked in at the door and real people are ready to get their game on.
Social: How about a change of scenery from your lonely living room couch to a party where you are always welcome? We built a gaming destination just for you and invited everyone who likes to play all your favorite multiplayer games. If it has a multiplayer, social aspect to its game play, we’ll try it! Whether you thirst for cut-throat competition or yearn for the bygone era of co-op sidescrollers, we have events for you. From the competitive to the casual player, social gaming connects everyone!
Safe: We joke around all the time, but one thing we are dead serious about is your comfort and safety. We promise that you will not hurt yourself on our couch (but we can’t guarantee against thumb sprains) and we will bust our butts to ensure that your gaming experience is not ruined by immature and racist antics. We proactively moderate all of our events to make sure that all event goers are in the environment they want to be in. Please see our House Rules for more information.
Local: Everyone knows someone who plays video games. In fact, our grassroots gaming community grew from a few friends and neighbors who, in turn, rallied theirs. We are grateful to the locals who have helped support and inspire us to realize our vision of a communal gaming destination. What started local will stay true to its roots, where the focus of every experience is enjoyment of not only video games, but also the people who play them.
